<lj:music>I want to hold your hand- Beatles</lj:music>

I don't remember how it all started, but then that's the way most dreams start out isn't it. Anyways, it was just you and I sitting in my car driving to your house which for some reason or another happened to be in Flagler, a little town about 15 minutes north of my home. On the way we passed the time by talking and staring in each other's eyes all the while holding hands. Driving up the beach we neared the Flagler pier, which appeared to have grown since I'd last seen it, and you saw a familiar ice cream shoppe you'd loved since you were little. You insisted we stop at at it and so that's what we did. After a while of browsing the nostalgic trinkets and trying to decide on a flavor to adorn my cone with, several men walked in the store with large coats on. The pulled out guns which they pointed at you and the old woman behind the register and told you to go out back. The dream gets fuzzy right here as I manage to not be seen behind an aisle and sneak out the door behind the men. In the back there is a smallish river with several canoes overturned on the shore that appeared to have not been used in some time. Then the strange happened and one man appeared running into the group of the others frantically pointing and talking to the others. They all turned and ran back to the store front leaving you and I standing on the shore of the river. Before I could motion to the canoes we we're both off running towards them which we quickly launched and paddled away. In the distance we saw the men emerge from the building cursing and yelling...
We never did make it to your house but we'd had one hell of a day and decided to camp out on an island in the river for fun. As I went to sleep I opened my eyes to the piercing shrill of an exotic bird, or maybe it was my cell phone crying in my ear that the day was beginning and that I needed to get up and ready to face it once more...

Well as many of you know, I went home to Ormond for this past weekend to see my family, get supplies, etc. I drove back to school Monday completely unaware of the dread that would find me when I arrived. Much to my dismay, It wasn't the unwanted embrace of an annoying ugly girl, nor taunts from pre-puberty boys for no particular reason. Instead, to my dismay, I discovered that I had left my room key, and student ID (Used for such things as buying FOOD and other necessities on campus) at home on the key hooks. Needless to say I freaked out, called my mom (bless her soul) and had her Fed-Ex them to me. Unfortunately since I've yet to receive my keys and ID, i've been slyly sneaking into my dorm building everytime someone else opens the door, or i've called my wonderful room mate or my dear other friends on my floor who would come open the door for me. I've also been living off of candy my mom bought me before I left, and unknowing that I would actually use it for sustenance. Once again I owe my friends, the "J" squad (Jeff, Julia, and Justine) bunches for having me over for dinner for that past 2 nights.

My tirade is spent.

P.S.
Yay I'm nineteen... big thriller there. my birthday was yesterday and i think the best gift i've received so far is food. Oh we also got a cat and that's pretty cool but he's not specifically mine so it's not really a birthday present.

On a more serious note, how many single people actually like Valentine's day? I mean really I understand liking it as a kid because i mean hey, it was another excuse to get candy, but now? Nothing except to rub the fact that other people have boy/girl friends in your face and how wonderful it is to get chocolate/flowers etc. from them.

Survey of the day...
er um month...
or um until i next post, yeah that's it.:

Do you like or dislike Valentine's Day and why?

P.S. the one exception to the above rant is getting surprised by someone you don't expect or getting a date on the day.

Today we put my dog to sleep. MY DOG. Maggie was to be 15 this coming march, and could hardly function any more (this is my only emo entry). There are only very few things that will make a grown man cry, and losing man's best friend is one of them. I had always hoped that this day would never come, and dreaded when it would. Then to prolong the agony i thought they were going to take her into the vet's yesterday to do it but they instead waited until today. This Journal entry pays homage to the loving memory of maggie the english springer spaniel who i grew up with.

As many of you know, I have been without a running car to call my own for about 8 months now. That said, my car has returned from its ashes. It has been reborn, rebuilt, and now runs. While needing some TLC (car talk for "tender love and care") a smidgeon of paint here and there, and a few other details to be completed, it now performs its main function: IT works.

Some people claimed the day would never come, and many began to seriously doubt the possibility but now, I stand before you saying that after a whole bunch of procrastination, backbreaking work (trust me on that one) and 1200 dollars out of my wallet, it works.
